I used to build big 4x4 chevys for mudbogging and offroad fun. My last one I bought for $6k and had $10k in the suspension alone. Built 454, built 400TH, Superbrutes in both axles, axle trusses, Alpine stereo, cage, 39 inch Boggers, 8 inch Skyjacker, phantom grill, 4 link, 4:56 gears, NP 205 T-case...all the good stuff. It got too expensive to break, too expensive to leave on the trail, too nice to scratch and dent, and gas was $1.29 a gallon for 93 octane. I sold it for the original purchase price of the rig...$6k. I just wanted to be free. No hassles from lowballers, nothing. A guy showed up to my house with $6k cash. I took $1500 and bought a 240sx...I just wanted basic transportation. It was stripped out and lowered. Didnt even have a radio. Loved driving the 240. Bought the Z because the 240 sucked on top end (119 with the 12 valve motor), and the seats were crappy (major back pain) and no cruise control. The only thing I want to do right now is drive. 08 is an election year and so I will have one more year on the interstates. Then gas will be $6 a gallon and I will have to leave the interstates to the rich.
